Some commonly used software, available from a variety of sources:

Premier Accessibility Suite - Universal Reader and other text - to - speech programs allow any text on your computer screen to "talk".  Kent ISD has an unlimited site license for this software, available for download from www.premierathome.com.  Contact your school for the login and password.

Inspiration and Kidspiration:  Wonderful graphic organizing software for students who are very visual or have difficulty with the writing process.  To to www.inspiration.com for more information.

MathPad and MathPad Plus:  software that puts math calculations on the computer.  Great for students who have difficulty with written math problems because of handwriting or visual perceptual difficulties.  Go to www.intellitools.com for more information.

WordQ:  Talking word-prediction software.  Helps with spelling and speed while keyboarding/word processing, and will "say" anything that is typed out loud.  Will also read websites and other documents.  Go to www.wordq.com for more information.
